Precision AI OS MCP server

Connect your AI client to Precision AI OS

The Precision AI OS MCP server is a remote Model Context Protocol server for your firm's operators. It lets your AI client set up the firm and give its agents work over Streamable HTTP, with JSON answers.

Your firm's server address

https://mcp.getprecision.ai/v1/mcp/<your-firm-id>

Replace <your-firm-id> with your firm's id. Your firm's exact address is shown in the app under Setup → Precision MCP.

Choose your AI client

What an operator can do

Set up the firm
Create and manage agents, skills, routines, websites, firm logins, settings and Rules from your AI client.
Keep knowledge and clients
Add, change, rename and archive Agent OS (AOS) notes, and add clients. Reading existing working content needs deployment permission.
Check progress
Check routines, jobs, connected apps and website sign-ins as state and counts. Use ask_agent to give one of the firm's agents work.

Access and control

Only people with the operator role in that firm can connect. OAuth sign-in uses their firm's Precision account.

Reading working content—tasks, chats, notes and the client list—is off unless the firm's deployment allows it. Setup access does not automatically enable these reads.

Approving work, connecting a person's inbox or apps, and signing in to websites stay with people in the app. The MCP never sends anything itself.

Every write is logged under the person's name, with the client they used. Calls are rate-limited per person per minute.

Connect from your AI client

Start with the address in your firm's app. Replace the placeholder in every command or configuration below before you connect. Each client signs in to the same firm through OAuth.

Claude

In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize → Connectors → Add and choose the custom option. Some versions show Settings → Connectors instead.

Name it Precision AI OS, enter the server URL below and follow the OAuth prompts. In a managed organization, an owner must add the connector under Organization settings → Connectors first.

Claude Code

Run this command in the project where you want the server available. Replace the placeholder with the firm's address from the app.

claude mcp add --transport http precision 'https://mcp.getprecision.ai/v1/mcp/<your-firm-id>'

In Claude Code, type /mcp, select precision and choose Authenticate.

ChatGPT

On the web, where your plan and workspace permissions allow custom MCP apps, enable developer mode if required. Open Plugins → + → Add custom MCP server. Some workspaces still label this area Apps or Connectors.

Name it Precision AI OS, enter the server URL below and choose OAuth. Review the connection details, create the plugin or app, and install it before using it in a conversation.

Cursor

Merge this server entry into your user configuration. Keep any existing servers. You can also use Add to Cursor below; replace the placeholder URL in the installation form before connecting.

Configuration file~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "precision": {
      "url": "https://mcp.getprecision.ai/v1/mcp/<your-firm-id>"
    }
  }
}

Open the server in Cursor's MCP settings and use its Connect or authentication prompt.

Add to Cursor

The install link contains the placeholder address. Replace it with your firm's exact address before saving.

VS Code / GitHub Copilot

Merge this into your project's MCP configuration, then open Copilot Chat in Agent mode. Review the server trust prompt and start precision from the MCP server controls.

Configuration file.vscode/mcp.json

{
  "servers": {
    "precision": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.getprecision.ai/v1/mcp/<your-firm-id>"
    }
  }
}

Follow the authentication prompt and enable the server's tools for the conversation.

Client setup reference

Gemini CLI

Merge this into your user settings, keeping any existing configuration. Use httpUrl for Streamable HTTP, then restart the CLI to load the server.

Configuration file~/.gemini/settings.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "precision": {
      "httpUrl": "https://mcp.getprecision.ai/v1/mcp/<your-firm-id>"
    }
  }
}

If sign-in does not start automatically, run /mcp auth precision in the CLI.

Client setup reference

Codex CLI

Add this table to your user configuration, keeping any existing servers. If precision is already present, update that table rather than adding it twice.

Configuration file~/.codex/config.toml

[mcp_servers.precision]
url = "https://mcp.getprecision.ai/v1/mcp/<your-firm-id>"

Run codex mcp login precision to authenticate. Use /mcp in the CLI to check the active server.

Client setup reference

Gemini Apps

Custom apps require a personal account, age 18 or over, US access, English and Keep Activity turned on. Work and school accounts are not supported for this connection.

In the web app, open Settings → Connected Apps (or Personal Intelligence → Connected Apps). Under Custom apps, add a custom app, enter the server URL below, select Next and follow the prompts.

Grok

Open grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector → Custom, and enter the server URL below. Follow the authentication prompts to add the connection.

Questions about the Precision AI OS MCP

What is the Precision AI OS MCP server?

The Precision AI OS MCP server is a remote Model Context Protocol server for firm operators. An AI client connects over Streamable HTTP to set up the firm, check progress and give agents work, with JSON answers.

Which AI clients can connect to Precision AI OS?

These setup guides cover Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, Gemini Apps and Grok. The client must support a remote MCP server and OAuth. Client account and workspace restrictions still apply.

Who can connect to the Precision AI OS MCP server?

Only people with the operator role in the relevant firm can connect. Each person signs in through OAuth with their firm's Precision account and allows access. A firm's address alone does not grant access.

Can the MCP approve work or send anything outside the firm?

No. The Precision AI OS MCP never approves work and never sends anything outside the firm itself. Approving work, connecting a person's inbox or apps, and signing in to websites stay with people in the app.

Operators can give agents work through ask_agent or add a message to a task, and neither approves the agent's work.

Is my firm's client data sent to my AI client?

Reading the firm's working content—tasks, chats, notes and the client list—is off unless the firm's deployment allows it. If enabled, these tools can return that content to your AI client. Setup tools still return the information needed for their setup tasks.

Is every MCP change logged?

Every write through the Precision AI OS MCP is logged under the signed-in person's name, together with the client they used. Calls are also rate-limited per person per minute, so a connection is not unlimited access.
