Precision AI OS for Insurance agencies & brokers
Your agency system has AI. Your day still crosses carrier portals and inboxes.
AI for insurance agents works best on repeat work: service-inbox requests, renewal files, certificate requests and policy checks. If you run Applied Epic or Vertafore AMS360, switch on that vendor's AI first. Precision AI OS fits when the work crosses your agency system, carrier portals and email, with licensed staff approving what goes out.
What matters to your team.
The Big "I" and Future One 2026 Agency Universe Study says 46% of agencies report using AI, up significantly from 15% in 2024, including marketing content (49%), coverage form analysis (43%) and contract reviews (35%). The same release names lack of knowledge about capability (60%) and security and privacy (48%) as the top barriers, finding and screening candidates (45%) among top challenges, and multiple carrier interfaces as the biggest technology challenge. It counts an estimated 37,000 agencies averaging 9.9 staff. IA Magazine's July 15, 2026 article says only 8% have truly embedded AI in their daily workflow, according to the Big "I" Agents Council for Technology 2026 Trends Report.
When the software you have is enough.
Ask your agency-system vendor first. Applied's May 20, 2026 release describes Applied Recon, built into Applied Epic, as automating commission reconciliation. Applied's September 29, 2026 release says it launched Epic Conductor and does not state an availability date. Vertafore's Velocity page lists Policy Intake and Policy Check as early adopter, and other agents, including Reconciliation, as live. Its September 23, 2026 release says four new agents are with early adopters and will be generally available this year. Those pages publish no AI price. Precision AI OS fits work that crosses the agency system, carrier portals and inbox.

Where your team can gain time.
Illustrative workflows, scoped to your systems and review process during discovery.
Service inbox
Classify incoming requests and prepare a brief with the policy context your team needs. Staff reply and make commitments.
Renewal preparation
Gather expiring-policy records and flag missing information before a licensed reviewer starts.
Certificate requests
Collect request details and prepare the record for authorized staff to verify and issue.
Policy checking
Compare selected fields across supplied documents and surface differences for a licensed reviewer to resolve.
A practical place to start.
Start with service-inbox triage or renewal-file completeness for one team. Name the one workflow and the two manual steps that cost the most time, and confirm agency-system and carrier access before any portal work.
Track request-assignment time, missing renewal details and staff preparation time per file. Hours returned to the service team are capacity for renewals, and no savings figure is promised before your files are measured.
Start with the systems you have.
Name the agency system, its version and the permissions a user actually has before assuming an API exists. A login that can read a record is separate from one that can write, and we ask the vendor what it allows. We found no public API terms for AMS360 (October 2026). Carrier portals vary and need watching.
The services behind it.
A coordinated approach, shaped around the work your team needs to improve.
- AI agentsWe scope one recurring preparation job, build an agent that works from your data pipeline and firm OS, and agree where a person reviews its output before anything reaches a client. Scope is set in a discovery call, not assumed.
- AI data pipelineAn AI data pipeline brings your firm's scattered knowledge together, cleans it and keeps it current, so your data is AI-ready for your agents. We build it around your business and your clients.
- Managed AIManaged AI services from Precision AI OS mean we run, monitor and improve your pipeline and agents so they keep delivering as your business, your clients and AI models change. Your team never has to become an AI team.
Keep the right people in control.
Agree on customer-data access and retention before a pilot, and keep a short written AI use policy that lists each tool and the data it sees. Carrier access can vary. Coverage interpretation, binding, issuance and external communications require a licensed review.
What the first 90 days could look like.
An illustrative sequence, adjusted after discovery. Timing depends on data access, scope and your team's availability.
Discover and define
Map one workflow, check the systems and permissions, and agree what a useful result looks like.
Build and test
Connect approved inputs and test drafts against representative examples with your reviewers.
Run and improve
Introduce the agreed workflow, monitor exceptions and compare results with the starting baseline before widening scope.
Questions firms ask
What can AI do for an insurance agency or broker?
It prepares repeat work: service-inbox triage, renewal files, certificate requests and policy-document checks. The Big "I" and Future One 2026 Agency Universe Study says uses include marketing content (49%), coverage form analysis (43%) and contract reviews (35%). Licensed staff still decide coverage and client commitments.
Is the AI in Applied Epic or Vertafore AMS360 enough?
For work inside that system, often yes, so ask your vendor first. Applied's May 20, 2026 release describes Applied Recon inside Applied Epic. Applied's September 29, 2026 release says it launched Epic Conductor and does not state an availability date. Vertafore's Velocity page lists Policy Intake and Policy Check as early adopter. Look beyond those tools when work crosses carrier portals and the inbox.
How many insurance agencies use AI?
The Big "I" and Future One 2026 Agency Universe Study says 46% of agencies report using AI, up significantly from 15% in 2024. IA Magazine's July 15, 2026 article says only 8% have truly embedded AI in their daily workflow, according to the Big "I" Agents Council for Technology 2026 Trends Report.
What does the NAIC AI bulletin say, and who is it addressed to?
The NAIC adopted its model bulletin on insurers' use of AI on December 4, 2023. It is a template for state insurance departments to issue, addressed to insurers licensed in that state. It says insurers are expected to maintain a written AI program, and that the program should address AI systems and data obtained from third parties, including, where appropriate, contract terms on audit rights and cooperation with regulators. Ask your carriers whether their contracts pass any of this to you. This is not legal advice; ask your counsel.
What should an AI use policy for a small agency include?
A short written policy, a list of the AI tools in use and what customer data each one sees, and a record of who approved what. State departments of insurance publish their own materials, so check yours before a pilot.
How much does AI for an insurance agency cost?
Applied's and Vertafore's pages we read do not publish prices for their AI products, so ask each for the all-in annual cost for your staff count. We do not quote a Precision AI OS figure before discovery measures your baseline.
Where should a 10-person agency start with AI?
With one workflow and the two manual steps that cost the most time, such as service-inbox triage or renewal-file completeness. IA Magazine's July 15, 2026 article gives that same starting point. Measure staff time before and after, including review. The Agency Universe Study says agencies average 9.9 staff.
